For
Our Proud Lady - 8/25/94 - 11/27/02
From the first day we took Lady home with us at 6 weeks
old, she was a very close member of our family. She
gave us more love, joy, and happiness than any words
could ever express. Her presence created warmth in our
home that we will always cherish. She had 2 Mommies
(my wife and daughter) and I was her Daddy. She loved
each of us in her own special way and always made us
feel like we "walked on water". We own a small
"B&B" in Vermont and Lady opened her heart
to all our guests. She loved to chase after tennis balls
and snowballs. Our guests sent photos of their visits
with Lady. She met hundreds of people each year and
made their visit "very special". Lady also
loved "bye-byes" each day and meeting the
"local folks".
Lady left us the day before Thanksgiving, in our home,
with her family and much loved Dr. Cindy by her side.
Not a day goes by without us thinking of her, and our
memories of the happy days we had together. We miss
hearing her tippy-tippy-toe sounds in our home. Also,
her drinking water (very sloppy), eating food, barking
and making "happy". We still throw snowballs
and look to the sky, telling her how much we love her.
No dinner, at home or away, will ever be without an
opening toast of love for her.
How many of us are capable of providing such special
times and memories to others in just 8 years, 3 months
and 2 days on earth?
Thanks Lady for your very special "Golden Gift"
that will always remain in our hearts. Your family will
forever love you sweetheart, and be proud of you.
